24 years and counting

Yesterday was our anniversary and I'm not sure why I didn't post then because we just stayed around the house most of the day. The kids and I got up and went to church and he and the two older boys had a job to do. The rain had eased up but by the time they got there it was at it again so they came on home. I fixed lunch and we all ate then I got into my Pj's and sat on our comfy couch that reclines and cross stitched most all afternoon. He had plans to take me out to eat but because it was so messy out we decided to wait until another night. I honestly enjoyed our day just laying around the house.
He surprised me On Saturday night after we got back from trick-or treating with an anniversary gift. He made me close my eyes and he lead me to Allen's bedroom then told me to open my eyes and there on Allen's bed was a Dell mini laptop computer. I was so surprised I threw my arms around his neck and gave him a huge hug and a kiss.I never in a million years would have thought I'd have my very own laptop. I had seen them on TV and had said several times that I would like to have one. It's green and not much bigger than my Bible. It will be so nice to take with us when we have appointments at the hospital, ect. You can usually plug right into wireless Internet in places like that
I think back over the past 24 years of sharing my life with this man and I can't say it's all been bliss. Is any marriage? We have seen many ups and downs along the way but I'd have to say I'd go back and do it all again. God has blessed me with a truly awesome family. Ron has been a wonderful husband and father to my children. He has made many sacrifices to keep me home with his children. I can honestly say that after 24 years I am still in love with this man whom I call my husband. I hope to spend many more years with him.
